Pet Camp is looking for a cat lover extraordinaire to join our Cat Safari team!
Pet Camp’s Cat Safari location is San Francisco’s most honored and unique cat lodging facility, proudly serving cats from San Francisco and all over the Bay Area since 2007! Our Cat Safari counselors are responsible for upholding our solid reputation of providing exceptional cat care and customer service by checking cats in for and out of their boarding reservations, answering phones, making reservations and fielding questions, giving tours of our beautiful facility, and ensuring flawless execution of all of our campers’ activities and care with their great listening skills and meticulous attention to detail.
This position requires physical, hands-on work with our cat campers including feeding, medicating, cleaning the building (and lots of litter boxes), bathing and facilitating play and activity sessions. Candidates must truly love cats, have or have had their own cats, be extremely comfortable around all types of cats, and don’t have ANY cat allergies whatsoever. Although previous professional cat-related work experience is not required, it is highly desirable.
You should have exemplary customer service skills, including the ability to anticipate our client’s needs and meet/exceed their expectations. You should possess strong critical thinking skills and be able to practice good judgement in a variety of fast-paced situations. You should be able to work as a team but also be comfortable and competent to work on your own, be able to follow directions carefully, and exude confidence in your actions and interactions with all of our customers. Remember, YOU are the face of Pet Camp, and should represent us with pride!
The pet care industry is busiest when other people are off, so expect to be working weekends and holidays when needed; if you don’t “do” weekends or holidays, then this is NOT the industry for you; really, we mean it! Shifts are up to 8 hours long; some may may start as early as 6:45 am and others may end as late as 7 pm.
