Sami Needs a New Home

Sami smiling Around the middle of August Sami checked into Pet Camp for a short 4 day stay.  Unfortunately for very sad reasons way beyond Sami’s, and maybe anyone else’s, control, Sami was never picked up and we learned that she never would be.  Under California state law when something like this happens (and it has happened a few times in the past) there are only a few options for us and on Wednesday we took Sami to San Francisco Animal Care and Control to begin her search for a new forever home.  Sami’s identification number (what the folks at SF ACC refer to as her “A” number) is 392318.

Sami is a great dog.  She is friendly with people and dogs and loved by all the Pet Camp counselors – so you might think that finding Sami a new forever home would not be a big deal.  But Sami is a pit mix and, frankly, these dogs are hard to place.  So we want to help the amazing folks at San Francisco Animal Care and Control find Sami a new forever home.  How you ask?  Do we think some blog post with some cute picture is going to cut it? Do we really think that getting few people to “like” a picture of Sami on our Facebook page will be enough to get her a loving family?  Heck no!  We are talking about cold hard Pet Camp cash!  That’s right, if you are the lucky person or family to adopt Sami you will also get a gift certificate for 15 days of day care at Pet Camp absolutely free (it’s waiting for you now with Sami at SF ACC)!  That’s $569.95 worth of free day care!  You get a great dog and free day care.  Come on, the sooner someone adopts Sami the sooner we’ll stop this guilt trip laden blog and social media stuff.  So what are you waiting for?  Go adopt Sami.
