Pet Camp registers a phone number and
signs on their first client "Bodie from the
Pokie" before their official opening.
On May 5th, 1997 Pet Camp officially opens.
Liz is hired as Pet Camp's very first employee.
1998
Virginia convinces her sister
to create Pet Camp's 1st web page.
Mark leaves law to join Pet Camp full
time and drives over to Sara Owen's
house several times to wake her up
for work (he won't ever do that again).
1999
Pet Camp wins SF Weekly's
Best of San Francisco Award.
Marcie becomes first Pet Camp
manager.
2000
Drumrolls please! The triplets are born!
Do the doggie paddle! The mezzanine
and indoor pool are added. Fun
Fact: Pharoah was Mark's dog when Pet
Camp opened and is the dog in the
original Pet Camp logo

The one and only Michelle is hired!
Pet Camp wins San Francisco
Bay Guardian’s Best of the Bay Award.
2002
And then there were 4; Quinn is born!
Susan quits, tries an office job for a
whole 3 weeks, and returns to Pet Camp.
2003
Triplets for Peace; Pet Camp attends its
first peace rally as San Francsico
marches against the war in Iraq.
2004
Pet Camp gets certified as a Green
Business by City & County of San
Francisco. Fun Fact: Pet Camp is the
1st Pet Boarding Facility in the nation to hold that honor.
2005
Pet Camp wins Small Business Network of San Francisco's Small Business of the Year Award.
2006
Pet Camp wins Small Business Commission Most Innovative Entrepreneur 2006 Award.
Pet Camp receives a Certificate of Honor from San Francisco's Mayor Gavin Newsom.
2007
Cat Safari opens!
Pet Camp turns double digits - the big 10!
Pet Camp wins San Francisco Chamber of Commerce's Excellence in Business Award.
Pet Camp wins San Francisco Bay Guardian's Small Business Award - Community Activist Award.

All aboard! Pet Camp Express is added - changing the game on how your precious pet gets picked-up & dropped-off.
2015
John Lewis retires valiantly.
Virginia left Pet Camp for a job with the
City & County of San Francisco -
guess she wanted a job where you have to
wear "real" clothes on a regular basis. Plus
she was ready for her own office after
sharing an office with Mark for 18 years.
