Book ‘Signing’ at Cat Safari to Benefit SF SPCA’s Animal Assisted Therapy Program

Join us at Cat Safari on Thursday, July 17th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for a very special event. Guido, the Italian Kitty, author of the weekly blog, The Guido Gazette, and general observer of life (from a cat’s perspective), will be on hand to personally pawtograph copies of the new coffee table book, Luxury for Cats. It’s chock full of beautiful photographs of cats and their accoutrements. Inside, Guido is featured luxuriating at Pet Camp’s Cat Safari, which is highlighted as one of the international dream spots for felines. All proceeds from this Purrfect Paw Signing and reception go to a cause near-and-dear to Guido’s heart, the San Francisco SPCA’s Animal Assisted Therapy Program.

GuidoGuido has been
an enthusiastic volunteer in this innovative program that sends exceptional companionanimals into mental and physical healthcare facilities, libraries and schools throughout San Francisco. These dedicated volunteers share theirlove of pets and bring the healing benefits of the human-animal bond to those who cannot have their own pets with them.

U.S. State Department Web Site Highlights Pet Camp’s Greening Efforts

The State Department recently posted a one-minute video clip on its America.gov site called The Greening of San Francisco. The segment focuses on Pet Camp’s push to turn poop into power. It’s a fun feature including kudos for Mark from Mayor Newsom.

Pet Camp Featured on AT&T’s New Site for
Small Business

In March, AT&T launched a new addition to its site called Onward Small Biz. Designed to address the communications needs of the small business owner, it offers an online learning center, provides advice, posts relevant articles and practical tools useful to the small business community, and enables owners to connect and share ideas and experiences with their peers.

Pet Camp is please to be one of the first businesses to be profiled on the site. When Pet Camp planned for the opening of its new Cat Safari facility in Presidio Heights, they anticipated the need to be able to communicate easily between the two locations and respond to the needs of traveling customers who want to check in on their pets. In the clip, Mark and Virginia tell how they’ve used a point-to-point T1 line to unify data and communications that enables a shared workload, common database access, and lets them seamlessly connect their out-of-town clients with their pets – regardless of whether they are staying at the main campground or at Cat Safari.
